In the rapidly changing landscape of ‘New Space’and ‘disruptive innovation’, the University of Sheffield hasidentified the need for bespoke and focused training for studentswishing to enter the space industry. The Sheffield Space Initiative(SSI) is a group of student-led projects at the University ofSheffield. Its purpose is to provide highly motivated andpassionate students with the opportunity to participate in spacerelated projects and work within multidisciplinary teams toaddress real-world challenges in space engineering.
