Posted on 2020-06-02 - 10:29 authored by Ihthisham Ali
This PhD thesis is based on the two major themes of 1) examining the effects of PR/SET domain 9 (PRDM9) protein allelic diversity with respect to its ability to select initiation sites for meiotic recombination and by escalation its ability to affect change in chromosomal recombination landscapes of different populations, and 2) investigating the potential role of PRDM9 allelic variants in the development of childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).
